Indigo Seed is On the Way

India mentioned in passing that Indigo would grow really well here on the mountain. So here they come over the seas and from the south.  Woad or Isatis Tinctoria, Indigofera tinctoria, Polygonum tinctorum and Indigofera Australis are all on their way here and if I can find any others that will grow in this climate....well why not!!...fun

..and they have arrived!....now I have to be patient.......come on Spring!!

  1. Indigo, Tarla - that will be great!

I have a eucalyptus dye pot on the hob - a permanent fixture in the kitchen now, I hope!
...my first piece of silk revealed last night.

Girls, how enriching it was to be with you all last weekend.
    To be with women who...

... accept a piece of silk & threads with joy
... revel in taking a quiet, mindful walk amongst nature, collecting along the way
... throw all the dressmaking 'rules' aside without hesitation and stitch intuitively

And in Tarla's amazing part of the world!
    Thanks Tarla xx

If I'm technically savvy enough, I'll add my iPhoto collages here soon. Otherwise, I can email,
    Seeya, skin sisters!
